Here and There, Up and Coming...

Hey all you curmudgeons out there who have been waiting a long time for my next post...

We have been in the process of moving from Arizona to northern California. Wow! The architecture is sure different here. There are lots of interesting structures to take pictures of and share with you.

We are living by the coast now so once we are settled, we will be building a hand-built adobe structure using the SLPP™ system. This will give you all an example of just how well it stands up to this very wet and windy climate.

AND, look for my book, The Cheap-Ass Curmudgeon's Guide to DIRT™ coming soon IN PRINT! We will be offering the book at the introductory price of $24.95 — in full color with lots of photos of VERY unique architecture and creative ways of building. We are very excited to finally be able to offer the book in print and will let you know as soon as we get enough interest from YOU to begin printing.

Please let us know if you would like to pre-order your book at the introductory price of $24.95 today (regular price — $29.95.) Get on the list for first edition signed copies, by sending an email to: cheapasscurmudgeon@gmail.com. As soon as we get enough interest, we will begin printing!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Perfect timing on the move, ya cheap $&@$^&! :D

I just found your site, and am in the process of buying an acre of land near Buckeye so I can build my own house.

I was drawing up passive solar-inspired plans I'd found elsewhere and was vaguely dissatisfied with them, and now I know why! I'd already planned to build with rammed earth if possible, but it's so labor-intensive.

Not anymore! :D Thanks!

If you have some interest, I'd be more than happy to have you eyeball the land, the half-finished house, the fully-finished house...whatever.

Good luck with the move, and the new house construction. :)
